Another quilt for Comicon. Fabrics are “Icons of the Silver Screen”, “Petting Zoo Baby Book”, and “Star Wars Kids”. This one is roughly 48” x 54”, quilted in matching variegated thread, and backed and bound in lime green satin. I’m having such a great time making these. Again, these quilts will have a higher price point because of the cost of the custom fabrics, but hey man, a handmade quilt costs what it costs. Plus this is adorable and it doesn’t exist anywhere… you’re not going to pick one of these up at Urban Outfitters for $59.
HOLY SHIT!!!! Did you guys see this??? DID YOU SEE THIS?!?! It is a STAR WARS QUILT WITH LITTLE STAR WARS DUDES!!! Why does this not have a million notes??? I need a little Skywalker to swaddle up in this!
Calling all Gravyholocausts.
OMGGGGGGG If I were rich. I’d go to Comicon and buy this for my nephew.
Just a reminder to everyone that I’m still selling this and many other paintings online at convention prices! Also, I’m sharing a table at Wondercon (Anaheim, CA March 29-31) with the illustrious Kate Danley — find us in the Small Press section, table 30! I’ll have a buncha buncha paintings and peg people for sale — even more than what is listed on my shop page.
This ain’t just a get-rich-quick scheme… I have 75+ paintings and HUNDREDS of peg people hogging up all my studio space. I need to get ‘em outta here so that I can work on all my other bajillion crafty endeavors. Help a girlie out!
Also: each one of my paintings is unique. I hand-place every. single. dot. that you see — no templates, no pencil marks, no screen prints, no baloney. They’re all 8x10” on canvas board, so they’re ready for framing and touching (I use a high gloss acrylic, so each dot stands off the canvas and feels kinda groovy under your fingers).
Calling all fans of Dole Whip! Shirts are now available in 4 styles but you have to order now! I ordered one last time around in ‘pineapple yellow’ and now I think I need that brown baseball tee! Designed by Richard Terpstra (if you don’t already follow his DesignerLand blog, you’re missing out!)
