That I’ve lost what little patience I had, and there’s going to be a film at 11 shit storm apocalypse if they don’t tighten up.

As kids go….they’re not so bad. The oldest is 24, attending community college and disabled. She’s waiting on an apartment (based on her income) and earns her keep…

To be honest, this is what terrifies me about raising a family. I am GOOD with babies and young children. I’ll take terrible two year olds ALL DAY LONG. But the teenage children? The young adult children? The ones who are “finding their way” but refuse to listen to advice? I have zero patience for it. And like you said, your kids are pretty good and they’re still a little frustrating. I can’t imagine having to deal with “bad kids” — I’ve already gone through enough with my (significantly younger) brother and sister in-law and their addiction antics and my own 20 year old brother and his Invincible Idiot attitude. If they lived under my roof, I would slap them all day, every day.

People with actual OCD must hate the world even more now that so many people love to drop "LOL I'M SO OCD."

I’m always hyper-sensitive about stuff like that, so I never casually say that I’m OCD or Dyslexic or whatever. I hate when people say “Oh, I ate so much cake that now I’m gonna get Diabetes!” That’s not how it works!!!

I also hate it when people use the word “migraine” to describe an ordinary headache. Pro tip: if it goes away after 2 Advil, it probably isn’t a migraine. The reason it bugs me is the same with the term OCD; it is so over-used that people sort of get immune to the word and forget that it’s an actual THING and not just a slang term. Like, I have seen people’s lives destroyed by their OCD so, to me, it’s not just a shortcut for “neat freak” or “well organized.”
