Sad News: Landmark Publication Scholastic Weekly Reader Shuts Down

Travesty. The Scholastic reader was where all my books came from as a kid, not to mention my kitten-dangling-in-a-tree “HANG IN THERE” poster.
To clarify: this publication got merged with an existing one, so the kids will still get their books. And it still comes on that delicious smelling newsprint! (The Kidlet gets these at school and I love smelling them!)
