I have a step sister and a half-brother. My mom remarried when I was 12 and I inherited a 4 year old sister in the process. It was quite an adjustment, to say the least.
When I was 15 and my mom was 42, she got pregnant (I was an only child because she was never able to get pregnant again - she had several miscarriages both before and after me) by surprise and so at 16 I had a baby brother....
